Junior Automation Specialist

Salary: £50,000 - 50,000 per year

Requirements:

• Shipped production automations on Make.com, Zapier, Claude, or similar, not just demos.
• Worked with Airtable or comparable systems as a real operations backbone, not a side spreadsheet.
• Built LLM-powered workflows with prompt craft, evaluation, and guardrails, and knows when the model should not act alone.
• Strong debugging skills for production systems under time pressure.
• Able to turn fuzzy business requests into scalable and supportable solutions.
• Comfortable working with both technical and operational partners.
• Prefers speed and ambiguity over perfect specs.
• Based within commuting distance of our hubs for an in-person, 3-days-per-week working model.
• Able to submit a resume in English, and an updated portfolio and/or resume.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, test, and deploy solutions across Make.com, Airtable, Zendesk, Claude, APIs, and AI tooling.
• Build multi-system integrations that remove real manual effort.
• Own projects from initial sketch through production and ongoing improvement.
• Stand up testing and validation environments.
• Turn business problems into technical designs and identify new automation opportunities.
• Monitor adoption after launch, fix issues, and iterate on underperforming solutions.
• Write maintainable, documented, and safe automations.
• Monitor production systems, debug quickly, and minimize operational impact when issues occur.
• Decide when Make/Zapier-class tools are enough and when a different approach is needed.
• Keep up with new automation and AI capabilities and introduce useful ones deliberately.
• Support architecture, platform limits, and safe AI shipping decisions.
• Review builds before they go live when review reduces risk.
• Create reusable components, patterns, and standards.
• Work closely with Operational Excellence and Operations to understand the real problem.
• Shape discovery and scoping so solutions remain practical and maintainable.
• Keep stakeholders informed on progress, risks, dependencies, and dates.
• Feed operational feedback into future versions.
