Salary: £68,000 - 108,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Technical breadth across enterprise IT.
  • Operating Systems: Windows Server, Linux, RHEL, Ubuntu.
  • Databases and stores: SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, file shares, SMB/NFS, SharePoint, OneDrive.
  • Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, routing, NAT, TLS, proxies, firewalls, Palo Alto, Check Point, load balancers, VPN.
  • Identity and access: AD, Azure AD/Entra ID, LDAP, Kerberos, NTLM, service principals, role design.
  • Proven experience deploying and scaling infrastructure agents or scanning tools, such as vulnerability scanners, DLP, discovery/indexing, backup agents, or EDR.
  • Hands-on experience with credentials and secret management, and least-privilege access patterns.
  • Excellent documentation skills, including network diagrams, runbooks, and onboarding playbooks.
  • Ability to manage multiple integrations in parallel, track dependencies, and deliver to timelines.
  • Prior OneTrust experience is a plus but not required.
  • Experience with OneTrust Data Discovery worker nodes, connectors, discovery jobs, scheduling, and classification tuning is nice to have.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow CMDB, change management, and automation workflows is nice to have.
  • Knowledge of data governance and privacy concepts, including PII, PCI, PHI, data residency, record of processing, and retention, is nice to have.
  • Containerization familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for worker node packaging and deployment patterns is nice to have.
Responsibilities:
  • Collect and maintain technical metadata for assets, including hostnames, IPs, FQDNs, environments, OS/DB versions, ports/protocols, authentication methods, endpoints, and data custodians/SMEs.
  • Maintain OneTrust Data Discovery worker nodes and required connectors/adapters.
  • Establish secure connectivity to scan targets.
  • Validate scanning coverage and troubleshoot connector, credential, and network issues end to end.
  • Coordinate least-privilege service accounts and manage secrets via enterprise vaults such as CyberArk, HashiCorp Vault, and Azure Key Vault.
  • Define and validate required roles and permissions for discovery and classification across systems, databases, file systems, cloud storage, and SaaS.
  • Request and validate firewall rules and security group changes, documenting ports, protocols, and network paths for discovery jobs.
  • Work with network and platform teams to ensure connectivity adheres to segmentation, zero trust, and logging standards.
  • Partner with application owners, DBAs, platform teams, and cloud teams to schedule scans, define maintenance windows, and avoid performance impact.
  • Document configuration patterns and playbooks for repeatable onboarding of new systems.
  • Implement runbooks for connectors.
  • Document integration progress to the project team.
  • Support audits by maintaining evidence, change tickets, approvals, network diagrams, and access reviews.
  • Work through a prioritized list of target systems to connect data discovery to.
  • Document setups for applications.
  • Work with ICRM to complete catalog scans of applications.
  • Create repeatable SOPs for new asset onboarding, credential setup, and change control.

We are looking for a technically strong IT Engineer to connect OneTrust Data Discovery to systems across our environment that store or process personal data. This is a hands-on role based in London with a hybrid arrangement of 3 days onsite, and it sits at the intersection of Cyber Security, IT Operations, and Application Teams. We will support enablement for the specific OneTrust Data Discovery components, and prior OneTrust experience is not required. The role supports automated discovery and classification of personal data to help with compliance, risk reduction, and data governance initiatives.
