Lead Product Manager

Salary: £62,000 - 102,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven experience leading Product Managers or senior product professionals in a digital or technology-led environment.
• Strong track record of turning strategy into roadmaps that teams can plan against and deliver.
• Hands-on experience managing a multi-product portfolio and making prioritisation and trade-off decisions across competing demands.
• Customer-first mindset with empathy for users in sensitive or emotionally charged contexts.
• Confidence working cross-functionally with Technology, Data, Delivery, Marketing and Customer teams.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to use qualitative and quantitative data to guide decisions.
• Coaching leadership style and growth mindset.

Responsibilities:

• Translate product strategy into a deliverable roadmap so teams across Product, Technology and Operations know what is coming and why.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of Product Managers, setting high standards for customer insight, commercial thinking and delivery discipline.
• Take accountability for portfolio-level prioritisation, balancing customer value, commercial return, technical feasibility and operational impact.
• Act as the day-to-day head of product, resolving cross-product conflicts, aligning stakeholders and keeping the roadmap outcome-led and realistic.
• Collaborate closely with Technology, Delivery, Data, Marketing and Customer teams to ensure products are well defined, packaged, named and successfully launched.
• Maintain a deep understanding of users, from families and officiants to funeral directors and crematoria staff, and feed insight back into roadmap decisions.
• Represent and deputise for the Product Director in senior conversations, contributing to portfolio governance, pricing input, lifecycle decisions and investment priorities.
