Solution Architect - Manchester

Salary: £95,000 - 95,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on software engineering background
• Experience leading engineering teams delivering applications and services
• Proven solution architecture experience
• Strong understanding and practical application of architecture and delivery methodologies
• Ability to operate across architectural domains, with deeper expertise in at least one area
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Confident working with multiple technical and business stakeholders in fast-paced environments
• Experience may include cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP
• Experience may include architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman or MODAF
• Experience may include delivery approaches such as SAFe, Scrum or Kanban
• Experience may include modelling tools and methods such as UML, ArchiMate or Ardoq
• Experience may include wider platforms including Oracle, IBM and Salesforce

Responsibilities:

• Create and assure key architecture artefacts, including High-Level Designs, Technical Options Papers and key design decisions
• Work closely with engineering teams, often acting as the lead technical SME
• Define technical vision and establish architectural guardrails
• Support senior stakeholders with cases for change, cost estimation and detailed planning
• Work across multiple architectural domains, including Business, Data, Application, Technology and Security
• Work across varied projects, clients and technology stacks

This is a Solution Architect role based in London with a hybrid working pattern of approximately two days per week in the office.
