Mainframe Pre-Sales Lead

Salary: £66,000 - 106,000 per year

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience with a modernisation company, systems integrator, or hyperscaler
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Solution Architect or technical consultant
• Strong knowledge of mainframe applications and data technologies
• Solid understanding of modern Java and/or .NET architectures deployed on cloud platforms
• Experience creating and presenting technical pre-sales materials
• Professional presence in customer and prospect interactions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong consultative, analytical, and problem-solving mindset
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
• Team-oriented and proactive approach

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with sales teams to shape and support customer conversations
• Engage with customers to understand their existing mainframe environments and business objectives
• Design and position end-to-end modernisation and cloud migration solutions
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and solution walkthroughs
• Collaborate with delivery, engineering, and product teams to define the optimal modernisation approach
• Support deal scoping and help define realistic, value-driven modernisation roadmaps
• Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the entire pre-sales lifecycle
