Senior Consultant Microsoft D365 Finance

Salary: £58,000 - 98,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations implementations, particularly in Finance and related areas such as Operations, Production, Project Management, or HR
• Experience with AX/D365 implementations
• Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate
• Strong client communication skills
• Excellent articulation skills for workshops and meetings, including use of Microsoft PowerPoint
• Experience using Microsoft Business Process Catalogue on Azure DevOps
• Flexibility and willingness to travel
• Relevant professional qualifications are a plus, such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CMA/RC, CPA/RA, or equivalent
• Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals is a plus
• Experience with Tax Calculation Service and projects deployed using tax calculation services
• Knowledge of Electronic Reporting to build electronic reports, bank payment files, and bank reconciliation
• Ability to recommend budgeting, expense management, consolidation, and financial reporting solutions, including outside the Microsoft stack
• Knowledge of Making Tax Digital services in the UK
• Experience with multi-company and multi-country rollouts of D365 F&O
• Experience delivering features such as Finance Insights, Payment Predictions, Invoice Capture, Globalisation Studio, and Electronic Invoicing
• Knowledge of Microsoft Copilot for Finance

Responsibilities:

• Participate in discovery and requirements-gathering workshops
• Translate business requirements into deployable D365 solutions
• Complete fit-gap assessments
• Deliver internal and external product demonstrations
• Draft D365 process maps based on internal IP or the Microsoft Business Process Catalogue
• Draft functional design documents and functional specifications
• Deliver training, including Train-the-Trainer and End User Training, within agreed program scope
• Apply knowledge of D365 Finance modules, including Fixed Assets, Cash & Bank, Budgeting, and Taxation
• Recommend solutions in line with modern Microsoft best practices
• Manage Azure DevOps during program delivery
• Work with the Microsoft stack, including Lifecycle Services, Business Process Catalogue, Task Guides, and Office tools
• Provide ongoing support to end users, including troubleshooting and additional training via email, phone, or site visits while liaising with Microsoft support
• Contribute reusable assets such as templates and methodologies for the firm
• Work with D365 data migration frameworks and security configurations
• Integrate with third parties such as exchange rate providers, payment providers, and tax authorities
• Collaborate with stakeholders, development teams, and testing teams to deliver high-quality solutions aligned to client and user needs
• Mentor and guide junior team members
• Use a structured approach to problem-solving and project execution
• Manage time effectively and communicate clearly while producing high-level deliverables
