Technical Project Manager

Salary: £61,000 - 91,000 per year

Requirements:

• We have strong technical project management experience delivering complex platform or software programmes in genuinely complicated technology environments.
• We have a proven track record of managing external SI and vendor partners, including actively steering them and pushing back when needed.
• We have enough technical literacy to read architecture diagrams, understand trade-offs, and challenge vendor estimates constructively.
• We have solid commercial instincts and are comfortable with SOWs, change control, vendor performance management, and related conversations.
• We have experience working in matrixed, multi-stakeholder environments across competing priorities and different reporting lines.
• We have sharp written and verbal communication skills, producing useful status updates, clear escalations, and concise stakeholder communications.

Responsibilities:

• We run external build partners end to end, setting expectations, managing delivery, and holding partners accountable when scope, timelines, or quality slip.
• We own delivery planning across the AI platform programme, including milestones, dependencies, critical path, and risk management.
• We translate between engineering and the business, turning technical detail into clear status, decisions, and trade-offs for stakeholders.
• We manage SOWs, change requests, and commercial conversations with partners so contracted scope is delivered and changes are governed properly.
• We run governance forums such as steering committees, delivery reviews, and risk registers to keep decisions moving.
• We spot problems early, escalate clearly, frame options, recommend a path, and drive resolution.
• We coordinate across OpCos and group functions to keep the right people informed, aligned, and unblocked across multiple markets.
