Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect within large-scale enterprise environments.
• Strong track record delivering complex business and technology transformation programmes.
• Ability to communicate architecture concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong cloud architecture experience across hybrid and cloud-native environments.
• Experience delivering solutions involving SaaS and COTS platforms.
• Understanding of enterprise-scale application landscapes and modern architecture principles.
• Experience with one or more of the following: Snowflake, Data Lakes, Data Fabric Architectures, Databricks, ETL / ELT Frameworks, modern data integration and transformation solutions.
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience designing integrations between cloud services, SaaS platforms, legacy applications, and data platforms.
• Knowledge of API-led architecture and event-driven design principles.
• Ability to engage with senior business stakeholders, programme leadership, engineering teams, and third-party suppliers.
• Experience influencing technical decisions within complex organisations.
• Experience working within architecture review boards and governance frameworks.
• Ability to ensure solutions align with enterprise standards, security requirements, and strategic objectives.
• High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solution design is highly desirable.
• Agile delivery methodologies are highly desirable.
• DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines are highly desirable.
• Large-scale digital transformation programmes are highly desirable.
• Energy & Utilities sector experience is highly desirable.
• Enterprise integration platforms and middleware technologies are highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

• Design and own end-to-end solution architectures across complex enterprise environments.
• Define architecture roadmaps supporting business transformation initiatives.
• Lead solution design across cloud, SaaS, COTS, integration, and data platform domains.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, project teams, delivery leads, engineers, and third-party suppliers.
• Provide technical governance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assess technology options and provide recommendations based on business, operational, security, and commercial requirements.
• Drive architecture reviews and support design authority processes.
• Ensure scalability, resilience, security, maintainability, and operational readiness are incorporated into solution designs.
• Support Agile delivery teams through implementation and deployment phases.

We are a major organisation in the Energy & Utilities sector seeking a Hybrid Cloud & Integration Solution Architect for a 6-month contract with possible extensions. This is a hybrid role based in Warwick, with two days per week onsite, and it sits inside IR35. We offer a highly visible architecture opportunity within a major transformation programme, working closely with business and technical stakeholders across cloud, integration, SaaS/COTS, and modern data platforms. We are looking for a senior architect who can shape enterprise architecture, provide strong governance, and help our delivery teams implement solutions aligned to business objectives.
