Senior Applied AI Engineer

Salary: £80,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong commercial C#/.NET engineering experience
• Modern .NET / ASP.NET Core / REST API development experience
• Genuine full-stack capability with React, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar
• SQL and strong software engineering fundamentals
• Cloud exposure across Azure and/or AWS
• Hands-on exposure to LLMs or Generative AI
• Ability to explain what you built with AI, how the model was integrated, and the engineering decisions involved

Responsibilities:

• Build and evolve commercial applications using C#, .NET, and modern web technologies
• Design and integrate Generative AI / LLM functionality directly into software products
• Work with technologies such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, or local models
• Explore RAG, AI agents, Semantic Kernel, MCP, vector search, and intelligent workflows
• Engineer around production AI realities such as accuracy, security, validation, guardrails, latency, and cost
• Work across the stack, including modern frontend technologies such as React, Angular, or TypeScript
• Modernise established products while helping shape how AI changes their capabilities
• Take ideas from experimentation through to production-ready customer functionality
