Salary: £90,000 - 110,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for a senior technology leader with strong experience across technical authority, enterprise or solution architecture, and technology strategy.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure public cloud.
• Strong experience with private cloud and hybrid cloud environments.
• Strong experience with Microsoft 365 and modern workplace technologies.
• Strong experience with Entra ID and identity and access management.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Intune and endpoint management.
• Strong experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
• Strong experience with datacentre and virtualisation technologies.
• Strong experience with cloud migration, transformation, and modernisation.
• Strong experience with secure architecture, Zero Trust, and cyber resilience.
• Strong experience with technical governance, standards, and architectural decision-making.
• Experience working within an MSP, managed services, cloud, telecoms, or technology services environment is particularly advantageous.

Responsibilities:

• We act as the senior technical authority, providing governance across architecture, cloud, infrastructure, and modern workplace solutions.
• We define and evolve our overall technology strategy, technical roadmap, and architectural standards.
• We lead the technical direction across Azure public cloud, private cloud, hybrid infrastructure, and datacentre services.
• We provide strategic oversight of our Microsoft technology estate, including Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
• We shape our modern workplace strategy, covering identity, endpoint management, collaboration, virtual desktop, and secure access.
• We define standards and reference architectures across cloud migration, modernisation, virtualisation, networking, resilience, and security.
• We evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities across cloud, AI, Copilot, automation, and digital transformation.
• We ensure technical solutions follow secure-by-design and Zero Trust principles.
• We work closely with senior leadership, customers, and commercial teams to ensure technology decisions support long-term business and customer objectives.
• We provide technical leadership, mentoring, and direction to technical managers, architects, and subject matter experts.
• We support strategic customer engagements, complex solution design, proposals, and technical presentations.

We are a leading consultancy undergoing a transformation journey and we are looking for a Head of Technical to own our technology strategy, technical governance, and architecture across a growing technology services organisation in Kent. This is a senior leadership role with a strong focus on Cloud, Modern Workplace, and Infrastructure strategy, particularly across Microsoft Azure public cloud, private cloud, and hybrid cloud environments. The role is based in Kent with three days per week onsite, offered on a permanent basis with a salary of £90,000 to £110,000 plus benefits including an EV car scheme and private medical insurance. We offer a two-stage interview process and are looking to start as soon as possible.
