IT Support Engineer - East London

Salary: £28,000 - 28,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for proven experience in an IT support or desktop support role.
• We require hands-on experience with Office 365 applications and day-to-day Office 365 administration.
• We need a solid grounding in Windows operating systems.
• We need a working understanding of TCP/IP networking.
• You must be comfortable using ticketing systems and support tools.
• Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to explain technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical colleagues are essential.
• A proactive, service-focused attitude is important.
• A valid UK (DVLA) driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
• The role is subject to passing a DBS check on appointment.
• The role also requires undergoing NPPV Level 3 security vetting within the first year.

Responsibilities:

• We provide first-line support for hardware and software issues.
• We focus on desktop and Office 365 support.
• We troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly to minimise disruption.
• We log all work clearly in our ticketing system.
• We keep users updated on progress and outcomes.
• We maintain our IT inventory, software licensing, and hardware assets.
• We assist with rolling out new systems and applications.
• We monitor system performance and flag opportunities for improvement.
• We travel to client sites from time to time to commission new equipment and support project work.

We are a close-knit IT team based at our Aldgate offices in the heart of the City, offering an in-person role with real variety, ownership, and the chance to make a visible difference to users and clients. Our working hours are 09:00 to 17:30, Monday to Friday, and our office is well connected by tube, rail, and bus, with the City and Spitalfields nearby for lunch and after work. We offer a pay rate from £28,000 per year and benefits including casual dress, company events, a company pension, discounted or free food, and sick pay.
