Senior Software Engineer Angular
Job Description
Salary: £20,000 - 60,000 per year
Requirements:- A degree in Computer Science or a closely related technical discipline.
- Strong understanding of fundamental computer science principles and the ability to apply them to real-world engineering challenges.
- Demonstrable hands-on experience as a Senior Software Engineer, delivering high-quality, maintainable software in a commercial environment.
- Significant hands-on experience developing complex web applications using Angular and TypeScript in a commercial environment.
- Strong understanding of Angular architecture, component design, state management, dependency injection, routing, and performance optimisation.
- Experience building responsive, accessible, and user-centric applications using Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and SCSS/SASS.
- Strong frontend development skills, with at least two years of experience working with TypeScript, Angular, and SCSS/SASS.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts, including encapsulation, inheritance, polymorphism, and abstraction.
- Clear understanding of SOLID principles and the ability to apply them to create robust and extensible software designs.
- Proficiency in SQL, specifically Microsoft SQL Server, with the ability to write efficient queries and understand performance considerations.
- Experience implementing and maintaining unit tests across multiple layers of an application, including UI, back-end services, and database components.
- Working knowledge of software design patterns, optimisation techniques, performance profiling, and implementation strategies for high-throughput or low-latency systems.
- Experience mentoring and coaching engineers at various stages of their career development.
- Ability to contribute positively to team culture, encouraging knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and collaborative problem solving.
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to technology, with a strong desire for continuous learning and professional growth.
- Motivation to succeed, with a commitment to delivering high standards of quality and contributing to a positive engineering environment.
- Design, develop, and evolve our Angular applications.
- Work across both backend and frontend development using Angular, C#/.NET, Azure, Entity Framework, TypeScript, and SCSS/SASS.
- Take part in regular stand-ups, bug fixing, project work, and design work.
- Support junior members of our team.
- Contribute to sprint reviews, demos, product release cycles, and technical reporting.
- Participate in monthly stakeholder demonstrations and product reviews, and provide engineering input across ongoing projects.
- Support the product release cycle and generate technical reports.
- Participate in mobile development activities.
- Take part in planning sessions, retrospectives, sprint reviews, and team demos.
- Engage in public code reviews, engineering dojos, and refinement sessions.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, unit testing, pull request submission and review, code reviews, defect resolution, technical debt reduction, system performance monitoring, design work, katas, and pair programming.
