Lead Engineer Software Development

Salary: £35,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong experience across the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Proven software engineering background with experience leading development teams
• Experience with CCTV and video streaming technologies and protocols
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs
• Database development experience with both SQL and NoSQL technologies
• Experience leading technical delivery across multiple workstreams
• Expertise in .NET, Angular, SignalR, C#, JavaScript and Python
• SC Clearance, or eligibility to obtain SC Security Clearance

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development and delivery of high-quality, scalable enterprise software solutions across the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Provide line management, coaching and mentoring to a team of Software Engineers, fostering a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture
• Coordinate technical delivery across internal engineering teams and external software partners, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards
• Support the successful delivery of strategic software initiatives, driving technical excellence throughout
• Champion engineering best practice, code quality and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with architects and apply technical expertise to create innovative solutions to support bids and provide estimates
• Collaborate with architects, stakeholders and cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that meet business and customer requirements
• Proactively identify technical risks, resolve complex issues and strengthen the teams technical capability through hands-on leadership and guidance
