HCD Service Designer

Salary: £104,000 - 104,000 per year

Requirements:

• Significant Service Design/HCD experience
• End-to-end service design delivery experience
• Service blueprinting, journey mapping, and systems thinking
• Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills
• Experience synthesising qualitative and quantitative research
• Agile delivery experience
• Excellent communication skills
• BPSS eligible
• UK-based
• Experience in NHS service design is desirable
• Experience with GOV.UK/GDS or UK public sector digital services is desirable
• Experience with large-scale digital transformation is desirable

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end service design from discovery through definition
• Plan and deliver discovery activities
• Produce service blueprints and system maps
• Facilitate co-creation workshops
• Design service experiments and prototypes
• Shape delivery roadmaps with Product Managers and Product Owners
• Define service metrics and value measures
• Coach Service Designers and champion Human-Centred Design
• Work with multidisciplinary Agile teams to create evidence-based services that integrate digital and physical touchpoints

We are supporting a major public sector digital transformation programme as we seek an experienced Human-Centred Design Service Designer. This is an inside IR35 contract role, offering up to £400 per day, based remotely for UK-based candidates, with a duration until 31 March 2027. We are delivering user-centred services with real national impact, working across multidisciplinary Agile teams on a major transformation programme.
