Infrastructure Engineer

Salary: £80,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements:

• Active SC or DV clearance required
• Experience with hardware and infrastructure engineering in Defence, Government or secure environments
• Experience with enterprise server, storage and networking technologies
• Experience with VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, or other virtualisation platforms
• Experience with Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP
• Experience with networking, firewalls, and infrastructure troubleshooting
• Experience with hardware deployment, lifecycle management, and vendor engagement
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work within Agile delivery teams

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and support hardware and infrastructure solutions
• Build and maintain physical servers, storage, and networking equipment
• Manage virtualised environments
• Administer Windows Server and Linux environments
• Configure LAN, WAN, VLANs, and firewall technologies
• Support hardware deployments, testing, and live operational activities
• Manage hardware lifecycle activities, upgrades, and asset management
• Produce technical documentation and work closely with customers and project teams

We are a growing engineering team delivering secure, mission-critical infrastructure for major Defence programmes. This is a Hardware Engineer role based in Hampshire with a hybrid working pattern of 2-3 days onsite, offering up to £80,000 per annum. You will work across the full project lifecycle, collaborating with software engineers, architects, and systems specialists to deliver resilient, high-performance platforms in secure environments.
