SQL Developer

Salary: £60,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong SQL Server development experience.
• Experience developing and maintaining SQL databases, stored procedures, views and reporting solutions.
• Strong database troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience of database performance tuning and optimisation.
• Experience supporting business applications and end users.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Self-motivated, proactive and able to manage a varied workload.
• At least 5 years of commercial IT experience within a medium-sized organisation.
• Proactive, adaptable and keen to learn new technologies.
• Comfortable taking ownership of technical challenges from diagnosis through to resolution.
• Able to work independently while contributing positively within a small team environment.
• Strong communicator who can work effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to make a real difference to the business.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain and optimise SQL Server databases, queries, stored procedures and reports.
• Analyse, troubleshoot and resolve complex database, data and application issues.
• Support and enhance business-critical systems and applications.
• Provide application and user support when required.
• Support user account administration, system access and day-to-day technical queries.
• Design and implement database improvements to increase performance, efficiency and reliability.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and networking issues.
• Work closely with stakeholders across the business to gather requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
• Assist with system upgrades, integrations and IT improvement projects.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal systems, processes and technology platforms.
• Document solutions and technical procedures.
