SQL Developer

Requirements:

• We require active SC clearance, which is non-negotiable.
• We are looking for an experienced SQL Developer, Database Specialist, Database Engineer, or DBA.
• We require deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
• We need advanced SQL skills, including CTEs, joins, subqueries, and performance tuning.
• We require experience with at least one additional RDBMS, such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.
• We would prefer experience with Elasticsearch.
• We would prefer familiarity with performance tuning tools such as Execution Plans, Profiler, and Query Store.

Responsibilities:

• We will expect you to tune and optimise complex SQL queries at scale.
• We will expect you to design and maintain robust database architectures across OLTP and OLAP environments.
• We will expect you to support a multi-layered ecosystem including SQL Server, IIS, and Elasticsearch.
• We will expect you to build and maintain ETL pipelines and data integration processes.
• We will expect you to ensure data integrity, security, and performance across our systems.
• We will expect you to contribute to a critical public sector programme on an initial 3-month contract.
• We will expect you to work in a hands-on role focused on high-performance SQL development and database optimisation.

We are a leading consultancy working on a critical public sector programme and seeking an experienced SQL Developer / DBA for an initial 3-month contract. This is a hybrid role based in Stratford, with three days per week onsite, offered at £400-£500 per day outside IR35. The start is ASAP, and we are moving quickly with the hiring process for someone who can begin promptly and has active SC clearance.
