Job Description

Salary: £30,000 - 30,000 per year

Requirements:
  • We require a qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • We require a minimum of 5 years experience in a technical IT support role, ideally within an educational or similar environment.
  • We require strong technical knowledge of hardware, software, networking, and operating systems including Windows, macOS, and iOS.
  • We require experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and cloud-based platforms such as Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
  • We require excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • We require clear and confident communication skills, with a user-friendly approach to support.
  • We require the ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple sites.
  • We prefer relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or ITIL.
  • We prefer at least 1 year of management experience.
  • We prefer a driving licence.
Responsibilities:
  • We provide on-site and remote technical support to staff and students, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • We install, configure, and maintain IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, printers, projectors, and interactive displays.
  • We support the deployment and updating of software across school devices and systems.
  • We perform routine maintenance of servers, networks, and backup systems to ensure consistent availability and performance.
  • We monitor IT systems for faults or performance issues and proactively resolve problems to minimise downtime.
  • We assist with the setup and maintenance of user accounts, permissions, and security settings in line with school policies.
  • We ensure compliance with data protection and security protocols, reporting any issues or breaches appropriately.
  • We document all IT procedures, issues, and resolutions clearly for use by the wider team.
  • We collaborate with our HQ team to support the implementation of technology initiatives at the local level.
  • We stay informed of emerging technologies and best practices relevant to education IT environments.
