Radio Systems Engineer - South East London

Salary: £60,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for a hands-on communications engineer with strong Land Mobile Radio experience.
• We would consider Motorola LMR/DMR systems experience, including infrastructure, configuration, commissioning, and in-service support, to be a significant advantage.
• We are seeking someone comfortable working in structured, regulated environments.
• We ideally want a candidate with a military engineering background, such as Royal Signals or REME senior NCO / Artificer level.
• We require someone who is currently SC cleared or who has held SC clearance previously and can refresh it without issues.
• We need experience in fault finding across a range of telecommunication platforms.
• We require working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• We are looking for experience in RF fault diagnostics.
• We want broader technical skills, particularly in designing bespoke solutions.
• We value the ability to provide technical assurance and support in major contracts.

Responsibilities:

• We design and build bespoke technical solutions in line with MoD requirements.
• We provide technical assurance to MoD contacts.
• We prepare codeplugs and fleet plans for MoD requirements.
• We install, troubleshoot, and maintain telecommunications equipment from multiple vendors, primarily Motorola Solutions.
• We carry out site maintenance and servicing.
• We manage faults through log analysis, defect debugging, and workarounds.
• We support customer needs analysis and present new products to customers.
• We provide technical support for communication systems across major contracts.
• We work within our dedicated special projects engineering team on radio engineering solutions.
