Senior Group Accountant (f/m/d)

Purpose of Position

As Senior Group Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely and high-quality consolidated financial reporting for the Awin Group under IFRS. You will take ownership of key consolidation and reporting processes, support group-wide accounting topics, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our reporting systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities 

• Perform and review group consolidation activities and IFRS reporting for the Awin Group
• Coordinate and support monthly and annual group closing activities
• Prepare and review intercompany reconciliations, group reporting packages and related group-level deliverables
• Prepare financial analysis and management reporting to support transparent and reliable group-level insights
• Support and coordinate audit requests as well as shareholder reporting requirements related to group reporting and consolidation
• Drive process and system improvements in the group reporting and consolidation landscape
• Act as a point of contact for local finance teams on group-wide IFRS and consolidation-related accounting topics
• Act as process owner for Awin’s consolidation tool LucaNet
• This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of key group reporting processes and contribute to the further development of Awin’s international finance and consolidation landscape.

Key Skills

• At least 5 years of professional experience in a comparable group accounting, consolidation or audit-related role
• Strong knowledge of consolidation processes, including intercompany reconciliation, reporting packages and group-level financial statements
• Strong practical knowledge of IFRS and good understanding of local GAAP requirements; tax knowledge is beneficial but not essential
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and practical experience with ERP, reporting and consolidation tools such as Microsoft D365 and LucaNet
• Team player with a global mindset and the ability to build international working relationships.
• Structured, accurate and proactive way of working, with the ability to deliver high-quality results in a dynamic environment
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively during tight reporting deadlines.
• Experience in group accounting, consolidation or audit environment preferred
• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, ACA, IFRS Accountant, German “Bilanzbuchhalter” is an advantage
• Very good written and verbal communication skills in English, combined with strong analytical and interpersonal skills (company language: English)
• Further languages (Romanian/German) are an advantage
