We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.
Google Wallet’s mission is to enhance the in-store experience by serving as more of a contextual shopping companion. We want to be the connective tissue from online and offline retail, making it easier to save your loyalty and offers and use those credentials in store, ensuring every transaction maximizes value and builds seamless, lasting merchant relationships.
To achieve this, Product Manager (PM) will own evolving Google Wallet to support users more deeply throughout your shopping experience, building a suite of intelligent features that make the in-store shopping experience better, helping you find the things that you care about and ultimately saving you money through a seamless checkout experience.
Whether it is paying online with Autofill, using tap and pay in stores, or using the Google Pay app, the Payments team at Google is focused on making payments simple, seamless, and secure. In addition to consumer payment technologies, the Payments team also powers the money movement between Google and its consumers and businesses.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $192000 - $279000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in product management, or a related technical role.
- 5 years of experience as a Product Manager working with SMB’s on hardware (registers, card readers, and screens) and software that businesses use to process payments, track sales, manage inventory, and handle customer data.
- 3 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc.).
- Master's degree in a technology or business-related field.
- 5 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders to launch consumer products.
- Experience building open standards or dual-channel conveyance systems, including integrations with Point-of-Sale (POS) providers and loyalty programs.
- Experience with consumer product design and developing intelligent, user-centered experiences.
- Experience in software development, engineering, or a related technical role.

- Own the mission to realize this vision by advocating standardized protocols to ensure seamless cross-platform interoperability for credential sharing, strategic partnerships with leading POS providers and building a unified ecosystem and technology that eliminates friction at the register.
- Design a smart, contextual user experience that enriches the users in-store experience with a focus on the deeper integrations with POS terminals and technology.
- Help users save money and remind them of offers.
- Build frictionless user experience to convey credentials to the POS terminal.
- Own the users merchant engagement lifecycle. Help users engage with merchants through their loyalty program and crease post-transaction incentive loops.
