Technology Specialist

Salary: £68,000 - 108,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience working in a live television environment.
• An understanding of post production and media ingest / file-based workflows.
• Awareness of file asset management and archive solutions, including media management of high-value assets for business needs.
• Experience documenting technical procedures and maintaining live documents for peers.
• Experience working with computers and network systems, and understanding associated terminology.

Responsibilities:

• Support the technical operations of MultiStory - Daytime production output and ensure defined media workflows are maintained across the roster dynamic.
• Ensure media ingest and media management workflows from capture through to final delivery and archive are carried out across all production output, while maintaining quality assurances.
• Adhere to best working practices in line with ITV policies across all production going through the MultiStory - Daytime production unit.
• Provide key support to other production users within a live broadcast environment and work quickly to resolve technology issues.
• Support the facilitation of the acquisition and management of media for MultiStory - Daytime.
• Work with multiple formats and take responsibility for programme recordings and media ingest using industry software, ensuring quality control is adhered to.
• Carry out routine maintenance of critical broadcast IT systems.
• Document and maintain live procedural documents for the benefit of the Technology team.
