Software Engineer

Salary: £40,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements:

• Professional coding experience in a professional software development setting
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, basic algorithms, object-oriented programming, testing and version control
• Growth mindset and a proactive approach to learning what you do not yet know
• Ambition to progress quickly toward Senior Engineer level
• Strong communication skills, including explaining work clearly, asking for help and giving useful feedback in code reviews
• Willingness to work AI-first and use AI tools daily, with curiosity and a fast-learning mindset
• Experience with any language is acceptable; we primarily use Python

Responsibilities:

• Build, test and ship backend services that power the products our customers use every day
• Write clear, well-tested code that is easy for our team to maintain
• Review other engineers code and learn from their feedback and approaches
• Pair with senior engineers on more complex problems and grow your skills
• Take ownership of knowledge gaps by asking good questions and seeking feedback
• Use AI tools as part of your daily workflow and help the team improve how we use them
