Salary: £38,000 - 68,000 per year

Requirements:

• Deep understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture, including ITSM, data models, integrations, and best-practice design patterns.
• Proven development expertise within ServiceNow, specifically in the creation, deployment, and live execution of Automated Test Frameworks.
• Exceptional ability to analyze, design, and optimize end-to-end service management processes and translate complex business requirements into scalable solutions.
• Strong familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM), ITIL-aligned processes, and enterprise service delivery frameworks within a UK public sector context.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to mentor internal teams, explain complex technical concepts clearly, and implement governance structures.

Responsibilities:

• Review and optimize the existing ServiceNow instance, including Incident Management, Change Management, and Service Requests.
• Assess the Service Catalogue structure and usability to identify friction points.
• Provide advisory and design support for platform improvements aligned to ServiceNow out-of-the-box best practices and industry standards.
• Define the high-level implementation plan, governance, and approach for the Automated Test Framework rollout.
• Build, validate, and execute the ATF suite directly into the Live environment.
• Review, refine, and optimize the existing development backlog to improve scalability and maintainability.
• Identify and implement workflow optimization, cross-process automation, and SLA design and performance improvements.
• Formulate recommendations for incorporating AI capabilities into existing ServiceNow workflows.
• Deliver structured coaching and knowledge transfer sessions to internal stakeholders.
• Provide practical guidance on ServiceNow architecture principles, platform design and development best practices, and governance operating models.

We are seeking a ServiceNow Solution Architect for an initial 3-month contract to support a critical optimization, delivery, and enablement program for a prominent UK public sector end-client through our consultancy. This is a remote role, inside IR35, with an initial day rate of £650 per day and the potential for extension. We need someone who can combine high-level architectural governance with hands-on technical delivery while helping our clients internal teams become self-sufficient.
