Senior Software Engineer

Salary: £55,000 - 55,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for advanced experience with Vue 3 and its associated ecosystem, including Pinia for state management.
• We need strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.
• We need experience designing and building APIs and back-end services.
• We need a working knowledge of SQL and relational data modelling.
• We need experience writing and maintaining unit, integration, and functional tests using Vitest or similar.
• We are looking for an AI-first mindset and genuine enthusiasm for using generative AI to supercharge development, including designing and maintaining UI.
• We need someone who is a self-starter and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• We need experience with Git for version control.
• We need awareness of SOLID principles and clean coding best practices.
• We need the ability to problem-solve creatively, focusing on delivering high-quality outcomes efficiently.
• Desirable: experience building scalable SaaS platforms.
• Desirable: familiarity with component-driven design and Vue 3 Composition API patterns.
• Desirable: experience with CRM or similar business-critical, data-driven products.
• Desirable: experience integrating generative AI services into production products.
• Desirable: skill in performance optimisation and improving UX at scale.
• Desirable: knowledge of partner-ready or multi-tenant platforms with customisable features.
• Desirable: experience with the Cloudflare developer platform, or other cloud architecture such as Azure.
• Desirable: comfort with CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and pragmatic documentation.

Responsibilities:

• We collaborate in planning sessions to clarify and elaborate requirements.
• We contribute to the design and architecture of innovative, scalable solutions.
• We use generative AI to design, build, and maintain UI while keeping our deepest focus on solid back-end foundations.
• We ensure both front-end and back-end systems are designed with scalability, performance, and maintainability in mind.
• We develop new features and enhancements across our platforms.
• We build and evolve the ArcaneAI CRM platform from the ground up.
• We design and build APIs and services in Node, backed by well-modelled SQL data.
• We make AI tools and copilots part of everyday development to help the team build faster without compromising on quality.
• We troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, including bug fixes and performance improvements.
• We conduct thorough code reviews and actively participate in peer review processes.
• We share knowledge, skills, and best practices with the team to raise overall code quality.
• We take code changes from inception through to deployment, ensuring a smooth release process.
• We maintain and improve our CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable delivery.
• We ensure all code changes are thoroughly tested and perform reliably in production.
