Salary: £43,000 - 74,000 per year

Requirements:
  • We ideally want someone with 3-7 years experience in a PMO, Project Support, Project Coordination, Business Management or Portfolio Management environment.
  • We are looking for experience supporting complex projects, programmes, technology initiatives or business transformation.
  • We need a good understanding of project lifecycles, governance and delivery methodologies.
  • We value strong analytical and data-management skills.
  • We want experience producing management information, dashboards and executive-level reporting.
  • We need strong financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting capability.
  • We are looking for experience managing RAID information and governance reporting.
  • Knowledge of resource and capacity reporting is important.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong PowerPoint capability are required.
  • Experience with project or portfolio management tools such as Jira, Planview, Clarity, MS Project, Azure DevOps or ServiceNow, or similar, is desirable.
  • A Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
  • Relevant professional qualifications are advantageous but not essential, including PRINCE2 Foundation, P3O Foundation, CAPM or PMP, Agile Fundamentals, and Lean Six Sigma.
Responsibilities:
  • We support governance forums, Steering Committees and portfolio reviews.
  • We produce clear and accurate project, programme and portfolio status reports.
  • We maintain governance documentation and ensure information is complete and up to date.
  • We track actions, decisions and commitments through to completion.
  • We support adherence to agreed project delivery standards and governance processes.
  • We maintain project plans, milestones, dependencies and delivery schedules.
  • We monitor progress against agreed timelines, objectives and deliverables.
  • We coordinate updates from Project Managers and workstream leads.
  • We support programme planning and integrated portfolio roadmaps.
  • We identify and highlight potential schedule risks or delivery deviations.
  • We support budget tracking, forecasting and financial reporting.
  • We maintain accurate records of actuals, forecasts, accruals and funding positions.
  • We produce variance analysis and provide meaningful financial insights.
  • We support financial governance and investment reporting.
  • We assist with annual planning and budgeting activities.
  • We maintain RAID logs and ensure information is regularly reviewed and updated.
  • We track mitigation actions and issue resolution activities.
  • We identify and escalate emerging risks, issues and dependencies.
  • We produce regular RAID reporting for governance and leadership forums.
  • We support resource planning, tracking and capacity management.
  • We produce utilisation, demand and workforce reports.
  • We assist with resource onboarding and workforce planning.
  • We highlight capacity constraints and potential resource risks.
  • We create dashboards and management information for leadership teams.
  • We analyse delivery, financial and operational data to identify trends and actionable insights.
  • We maintain high standards of reporting accuracy and data quality.
  • We support reporting automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • We produce executive-level presentations, dashboards and performance packs.

We are hiring a PMO Analyst for a hybrid role based in Sheffield, with three days per week in the office. This is an inside IR35 position within our Project, Programme & Portfolio Management Office, reporting to the PMO Manager / Portfolio Governance Manager. The role offers broad exposure across governance, reporting, financial management, planning, risk and issue management, resource management and data analysis. We work closely with Project and Programme Managers, Finance teams and senior stakeholders to provide timely information that supports effective decision-making and successful delivery. You will join a team focused on maintaining strong PMO standards and controls, improving portfolio visibility and making reporting and governance processes more efficient.
