Network Automation Engineer (Cisco/Meraki)

Salary: £46,000 - 83,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer with at least CCNP-level certification or above.
• We need strong experience as a Level 3 Network Engineer.
• We require experience with Cisco and Meraki products.
• We need hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco FTD, Cisco FMC, Cisco switches, and Nexus 5k/9k switches.
• We require experience with Meraki MX, MS, MR, and SD-WAN.
• We are looking for experience administering Cisco Catalyst switches, Cisco ISR routers, and Cisco DNA Center.
• We need CUCM and Cisco Voice experience.
• We require in-depth experience with Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine).
• We need fundamental multicast problem-solving skills.
• We are looking for strong troubleshooting skills for Azure cloud-based networks.
• We require network automation experience, including writing and executing Python scripts.
• We need experience with Cisco AnyConnect remote access VPN configuration and troubleshooting.
• Ideally, we would like some Linux experience.
• We require knowledge and application of ITIL processes.

Responsibilities:

• We will need you to lead or contribute to the technical delivery of network projects, including design, configuration, and installation work.
• We expect you to support office moves and expansions, vendor replacements, and datacentre network management.
• We need you to create and maintain project-related documentation.
• We expect you to create and maintain site documentation and technical documentation.
• We want you to conduct workshops regularly to share knowledge with others.
• We need you to develop expertise in a specific technology area and become a trusted SME.
• We expect you to proactively monitor IT systems and take preventative measures to reduce downtime.
• We need you to write post-incident review documents and recommend improvements to prevent future incidents.
• We expect you to test business applications, network, and server performance and provide reports and statistics.
• We need you to develop strategies to maintain and improve core infrastructure.
• We expect you to adhere to IT security policies and help enforce and monitor them.
• We need you to identify potential vulnerabilities and suggest resolutions.
• We expect you to evaluate, design, and maintain infrastructure systems, including LANs, WANs, internet, intranet, security, and incident and change management systems.
• We need you to understand business requirements and suggest appropriate technologies to support business goals.
• We expect you to take part in an on-call rota and regular weekend network maintenance.
