Salary: £95,000 - 130,000 per year

Requirements:
  • We typically look for a degree or equivalent experience, with real-world experience in cyber security.
  • We are seeking extensive security architecture experience.
  • We look for experience and knowledge in two to four or more of the following areas: cloud/data centre security, DevSecOps, data security, network security, identity, and security operations.
  • We expect understanding of risk assessment methodologies and the ability to articulate security risks to business stakeholders.
  • We value the ability to define, shape, and execute security strategies.
  • We look for understanding of business processes and the ability to integrate security into them.
  • Prior experience within financial services is preferred.
  • We value strong organisation, with the ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and use time effectively.
  • A bachelors or masters degree in information technology, cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience, is required.
  • Information security and/or information technology industry certification such as CISSP-ISSAP, CISM, GIAC, or equivalent is strongly preferred.
  • Industry-recognised architecture certification such as SABSA, TOGAF, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Certifications from industry-leading security vendors and/or cloud providers are desirable.
  • Experience in secure configuration of cloud and container-based architectures and implementations is desirable.
  • Software development skills including scripting and coding frameworks are desirable.
Responsibilities:
  • We design and architect cyber security solutions.
  • We create high-level and low-level designs aligned with business objectives and industry cybersecurity standards.
  • We define system specifications to support optimal performance.
  • We integrate workflows with third-party systems and security tools such as SIEM solutions.
  • We define the RACI matrix to operate and maintain solution components.
  • We support the development and maintenance of security architecture patterns, blueprints, and reference models.
  • We define functional and non-functional security solution requirements and technical specifications.
  • We help clients evaluate and select security technologies and products for their security roadmap.
  • We review existing systems or solutions and identify security issues or improvement activities.
  • We understand security control requirements and translate them into architecture patterns and solution designs.
  • We maintain awareness of current and emerging security risks and the changing threat landscape.
  • We oversee the configuration and implementation of cyber security solutions.
  • We collaborate with wider IT teams to ensure prerequisites have been met.
  • We develop technical and process documentation for cyber security solutions.
  • We deliver post-implementation services, including hyper-care support and advanced troubleshooting.
  • We conduct knowledge transfer to client teams through technical training sessions.
  • We contribute to sales activity through proposal documentation and eminence materials.
