Lead Data Scientist

Salary: £90,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a Senior or Lead Data Scientist role, preferably in sports, gaming, or a similar environment.
• A track record of mentoring teams and leading technical projects.
• A degree (BSc/MSc) in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python or R, with experience using frameworks such as Scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
• Experience with cloud platforms or distributed computing, with GCP preferred but AWS or Azure also welcome.
• Exposure to neural networks is a plus.
• A genuine interest in sports and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities:

• Design and deploy predictive models and machine learning solutions that power real-time markets.
• Work hands on with cutting-edge datasets, AI techniques, and scalable data pipelines.
• Identify patterns and insights that directly influence live business decisions.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, analysts, and platform teams to optimise performance and reliability.
• Drive best practice and mentor or coach across the Data Science function.
