Lead AI Security Architect

Requirements:

• Strong background in AI Security, Cloud Security, or Security Architecture.
• Hands-on experience securing LLMs, GenAI, RAG solutions, and AI agents.
• Experience with Azure OpenAI, AI Foundry, and ideally GCP Vertex AI.
• Experience with AI threat modelling, red teaming, prompt injection testing, and security control design.
• Engineering-led mindset with a strong understanding of AI, machine learning, and data platforms.
• Experience implementing AI security controls including AI gateways, prompt filtering, and output sanitisation.
• Ability to engage senior stakeholders while remaining technically hands-on.
• Experience in healthcare, insurance, financial services, or other regulated sectors is desirable.
• Exposure to data science or machine learning environments is desirable.
• Experience with Palo Alto AI Security or similar AI security tooling is desirable.
• Knowledge of NIST AI RMF, OWASP LLM Top 10, and ISO 42001 is desirable.

• Design and implement security controls for AI solutions.
• Secure LLM, GenAI, RAG, and AI agent deployments in practice.
• Conduct AI threat modelling, red teaming, and prompt injection testing.

• Engage with senior stakeholders while staying technically involved in delivery.

We are recruiting a Lead AI Security Architect for a 6-month initial contract in London/Hybrid, with one day per week onsite. This is an inside IR35 role offering up to £800 per day. We are looking for someone to help us secure the adoption of AI across a regulated enterprise, working at the intersection of engineering, cloud security, and AI security. Governance knowledge is helpful, but this is not a GRC or audit-focused position.
