Lab Infrastructure Test Engineer

Salary: £76,000 - 97,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of Python
• Knowledge of VMs and containerisation
• Knowledge of Linux and Docker
• Experience maintaining and improving CPE platform test environments
• Experience using code revision, issue tracking, and continuous integration tools such as Git, JIRA, and GitLab
• Good knowledge of Agile delivery methods and tools such as Scrum, JIRA, and Wiki
• Good knowledge of broadband/home gateway standards such as xDSL, FTTP, IPv4/IPv6, PPP, Wi-Fi, UPnP, and 4G/5G mobile networks
• Good understanding of RF fundamentals and wireless networking concepts
• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical material
• Ability to self-develop in required areas

Responsibilities:

• Develop automation test scripts for our next generation converged products and services
• Maintain and improve CPE platform test environments
• Deliver resolutions to problems that tend to be complex, cross-domain, or of high impact to customers
• Provide technical quality assurance over the work of other engineers through a matrix team structure
• Work effectively as part of Agile delivery squads
• Use Scrum, JIRA, and Wiki for tracking agile workflow deliveries
• Support proactive improvement initiatives
