Junior Software Developer

Salary: £38,500 - 66,500 per year

Requirements:

• A passion for software development and a genuine desire to learn and build our career
• Exposure to software development, an IT environment or the healthcare sector
• Good problem-solving skills and the curiosity to explore new ideas and technologies
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to build positive working relationships and contribute effectively as part of a team
• Good organisational and time management skills
• An interest in continuous improvement, innovation and embracing change
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools, such as Copilot, Gemini, Cline or similar technologies
• At a minimum, GCSEs (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths Grade C/Grade 4 or above

Responsibilities:

• Produce production code and participate in code reviews under guidance
• Follow established development processes and best practices
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of products and development approaches
• Help integrate sustainable practices into software development activities
• Work as part of a collaborative Agile team to design, develop and deliver high-quality software
• Work closely with Product Owners, developers and subject matter experts to understand requirements, solve problems and deliver solutions that meet customer needs
• Gain experience across every stage of the software development lifecycle
• Get involved in AI-assisted software development and contribute to products that support new and existing prescribing systems
