IT/AV Engineer

Salary: £36,000 - 40,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience in 1st/2nd line support with strong Windows 11 and Windows Server knowledge
• Comfortable supporting Microsoft 365/Office and typical IT peripherals such as printers, scanners and VoIP
• Confident working across IT and basic AV/meeting room technology

Responsibilities:

• Act as a senior escalation point for IT and AV, taking ownership of complex issues through to resolution
• Support the day-to-day operation of the helpdesk and service documentation
• Support wired and wireless networks, servers and core services including DNS and DHCP
• Support Microsoft 365 and end-user devices, including Windows 11, peripherals and BYOD
• Provide hands-on support for projectors, digital displays and hybrid meeting technology for events and meetings
• Work 37.5 hours per week, with core hours of 10am to 4pm and flexibility outside these hours

This role offers training and development, technical progression, long-term stability, varied infrastructure and AV exposure, and great working hours, with scope to contribute to service improvement projects and best-practice delivery. We are based in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, commutable from Ely, Newmarket, Royston, St Ives, Huntingdon, Saffron Walden, Haverhill and Bishops Stortford.
