Interim Digital Business Analyst

Requirements:

• Recent experience as a Business Analyst in an Agile digital product or technology delivery environment
• Strong requirements elicitation, workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills
• Practical knowledge of INVEST principles and experience writing INVEST-compliant user stories
• Experience writing detailed Gherkin acceptance criteria
• Ability to break down complex requirements and support developers and QA through delivery
• Ecommerce experience is desirable, particularly with B2B accounts, pricing, checkout, order management or API integrations
• Available immediately or at short notice and able to attend our Wigston site three days per week

Responsibilities:

• Run discovery workshops and stakeholder interviews to gather and validate requirements
• Translate business needs into clear user stories with testable Given / When / Then acceptance criteria
• Break down epics and features into appropriately sized, independently deliverable stories
• Identify business rules, edge cases, error states, dependencies and unanswered questions before refinement
• Work closely with the Product Owner, UX, Engineering and QA throughout development, testing and defect triage
• Improve requirements templates, Definition of Ready and backlog quality, and provide a clear handover

Were recruiting an Interim Digital Business Analyst to join an established business on a focused ecommerce contract, improving the quality and speed of requirements moving into development and supporting collaboration between business stakeholders, Product, Engineering and QA. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to an active digital platform and leave the team with practical analysis methods. It is based in Wigston, Leicestershire, with hybrid working and three days per week on site. The contract is three months, full time, with an immediate start; the rate is £425–£500 per day, outside IR35.
