Infrastructure Engineer

Salary: £70,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements:

• Active SC or DV Clearance required.
• Experience with several of the following: hardware and infrastructure engineering in Defence, Government or secure environments.
• Experience with enterprise server, storage and networking technologies.
• Experience with VMware ESXi, Hyper-V or other virtualisation platforms.
• Experience with Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, DNS and DHCP.
• Experience with networking, firewalls and infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Experience with hardware deployment, lifecycle management and vendor engagement.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work within Agile delivery teams.

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy and support hardware and infrastructure solutions.
• Build and maintain physical servers, storage and networking equipment.
• Manage virtualised environments such as VMware ESXi, Hyper-V or similar.
• Administer Windows Server and Linux environments.
• Configure LAN, WAN, VLANs and firewall technologies.
• Support hardware deployments, testing and live operational activities.
• Manage hardware lifecycle activities, upgrades and asset management.
• Produce technical documentation and work closely with customers and project teams.

We are a growing engineering team delivering secure, mission-critical infrastructure for major Defence programmes. This is a Hardware Engineer role based in Hampshire with a hybrid working pattern of 2–3 days onsite. The position offers a salary of up to £80,000 per annum and involves working across the full project lifecycle to deliver resilient, high-performance platforms in secure environments, collaborating with software engineers, architects and systems specialists.
