GSM-R Network Systems Engineer

Salary: £65,000 - 95,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven hands-on experience across NSS and BSS in a live GSM environment
• MSC and 2G radio configuration and datafill expertise
• Radio network optimisation experience, with drive testing or KPI-driven tuning as a plus
• FTS and transmission knowledge
• A true systems engineering background focused on network element configuration and integration, not infrastructure construction

Responsibilities:

• Configure, integrate, optimise and maintain business-critical GSM network systems
• Perform datafill, configuration and integration across NSS (MSC/HLR/VLR) and BSS (BSC/BTS) network elements
• Support and optimise the 2G radio network through parameter tuning, neighbour and frequency planning, KPI analysis and performance improvement
• Carry out transmission and FTS engineering, and end-to-end network integration
• Diagnose faults, test and commission network elements
• Work alongside planning, operations and NOC teams to keep the network performing
