Full Stack Engineer

Salary: £40,000 - 50,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for someone with 5+ years building production software, with libraries, services, or dev-tools experience a plus.
• We need proficiency in Java and TypeScript; skills in C#/.NET, Python, and Go are a bonus.
• We expect a solid grasp of modern API and integration patterns.
• You should be comfortable with CI/CD such as GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins, git, and code review.
• Experience publishing artifacts and managing repos such as Maven, NuGet, PyPI, Nexus, or Artifactory is required.
• We value working knowledge of semantic versioning, release notes, and changelog hygiene.
• Basic security hygiene, including artifact signing, checksums, and an SBOM mindset, is important.
• You must have the right to work in the UK and be fluent in written and spoken English.
• Desirable extras include Go concurrency patterns and idiomatic TypeScript design.
• Desirable extras include docs-as-code, ADRs, conformance/contract testing, and mock servers.
• Desirable extras include exposure to OAuth/OIDC, mTLS, and PKI basics.
• Desirable extras include cloud and infrastructure awareness across AWS, Azure, GCP, containers, and runners.
• Prior agency or consulting experience, and/or experience in regulated industries, is desirable.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build robust, reusable services and libraries across multiple languages, including Java, .NET, Python, TypeScript, and Go.
• Analyse requirements, propose technical approaches, and lead peer reviews to maintain high standards.
• Implement and refine CI/CD pipelines with linting, tests and coverage, artifact signing, and versioning discipline.
• Ensure clean, traceable, and secure releases across environments, with strong changelog hygiene.
• Build services that are observable, resilient, and easy to consume across teams and systems.
• Work with client Architecture and Platform teams, and produce documentation, run-books, and recorded walkthroughs.
• Optimise build times, automate repeatable tasks, and keep outputs deterministic and reproducible.
