Data Engineer

Salary: £33,000 - 35,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for a Data Engineer with a strong software engineering mindset who enjoys building data platforms and is dedicated to creating exceptional user experiences and driving innovation.
• We require experience writing code in Python.
• We require strong SQL skills.
• We require experience with cloud-based solutions on AWS or GCP.
• Nice to have: ClickHouse, Terraform, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Kafka, MySQL, dbt, Airflow.
• We are looking for a collaborative engineer who enjoys working closely with teammates.
• We are looking for someone who proactively identifies opportunities for improvement and helps drive them to completion.
• We need the ability to explain technical ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities:

• Help build our next-generation data platform using a modern technology stack that enables new products and analytics capabilities across the company.
• Design, build, and own end-to-end data pipelines that ingest, transform, and deliver high-quality data products used for internal analytics and to power customer-facing features.
• Build, operate, and continuously improve the core data platform, including databases, clusters, streaming infrastructure, and other platform services, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Continuously improve our engineering practices by enhancing CI/CD pipelines, automating workflows, adopting modern developer tooling, and leveraging LLMs to improve developer productivity.
