Salary: £30,000 - 42,000 per year

Requirements:
  • We are looking for someone with previous experience in a similar Data Centre role.
  • We need experience working in high-risk environments and Data Centres.
  • Knowledge of DCIM tools and standards is desirable.
  • Experience using ServiceNow, Remedy, or another ticketing system is desirable.
  • We need strong attention to detail and a proactive approach.
  • You should have sound knowledge of infrastructure technologies and networking concepts.
  • You must be competent in MS Office and helpdesk or service delivery applications.
  • We value a reliable team player who can also work on their own initiative.
  • You should be able to work under pressure and in an unsupervised environment.
  • A flexible approach to shift patterns is essential.
  • You must communicate clearly in writing and verbally at all levels.
  • Strong organisational, interpersonal, and administrative skills are required.
Responsibilities:
  • We work a 24x7x365 shift pattern of 4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on, 4 nights off.
  • We manage change control, incident management, and incident resolution.
  • We manage and track assets.
  • We supervise and escort third-party vendors.
  • We plan and implement IT hardware installations in line with strict Data Centre standards.
  • We plan and decommission network hardware and structured cabling.
  • We update all relevant documentation and inventories.
  • We complete service requests within agreed SLA targets.
  • We ensure compliance with client health and safety procedures.
  • We ensure compliance with manufacturers and clients quality standards.
  • We comply with approved client and support services processes.
  • We maintain security procedures for Data Centres.
  • We maintain Data Centre toolsets that support service and management.
  • We provide management and governance over the Data Centre.
  • We work closely with facilities providers to maximise energy efficiency savings.
  • We support the day-to-day running of the Data Centre, including installations, decommissions, changes, and maintenance.
  • We contribute to Data Centre-related service improvement projects.
  • We perform basic server configuration, including IDRAC and ILO.
  • We carry out fault finding and escalation.
  • We handle racking, stacking, moves, changes, decommissioning, and patching.
  • We support major infrastructure projects, including power outages and replacements.
  • We manage complex inter-rack and room cable infrastructure to support stable IT and desktop connectivity.
