D365 F&O Functional Solution Architect

Requirements:

• 8-10+ years of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations functional experience, with 12+ years overall experience preferred
• Strong expertise across D365 Finance, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable / Sales Ledger, Cash & Bank Management, Fixed Assets, and Subscription Billing
• Experience with Direct Debit processes is highly desirable
• Proven experience designing enterprise-scale D365 F&O solutions
• Strong understanding of fit-to-standard implementation approaches
• Experience producing functional design documentation
• Previous experience working within Agile delivery environments
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong understanding of ERP transformation programmes
• Experience within the Energy or Utilities sector is desirable
• Microsoft Dynamics certifications are desirable
• Experience working on complex enterprise transformation programmes is desirable

Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end functional solution design for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
• Facilitate discovery, scoping, and solution design workshops with business stakeholders
• Translate business requirements into fit-for-purpose D365 F&O solutions, promoting standard functionality wherever possible
• Provide functional leadership to consultants and technical teams throughout the delivery lifecycle
• Work closely with enterprise and solution architects to ensure alignment with the overall technology strategy
• Produce high-quality functional design documentation and solution artefacts
• Support configuration decisions while reducing unnecessary customisation and technical debt
• Collaborate with business users, project teams, and IT stakeholders to ensure successful delivery
• Provide guidance throughout implementation, testing, and post-go-live support
• Champion best practice and continuous improvement across the programme

We are supporting a large-scale ERP transformation programme for a leading UK organisation and are looking for an experienced D365 F&O Functional Solution Architect to play a critical role in the design and delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations solutions. This is a 6-month contract based in Windsor with a hybrid working arrangement of 1 day per week onsite, offering a day rate of £465 per day inside IR35. This is an excellent opportunity to lead solution design across a major enterprise transformation programme, working with senior stakeholders, architects and delivery teams to implement scalable, business-focused solutions.
