Requirements:
  • Experience assessing technical requirements and translating them into practical security solutions
  • Experience proposing, planning and implementing technical security controls and platforms
  • Experience managing projects through implementation, go-live and ongoing support
  • Experience working within Microsoft 365 and Azure environments
  • Experience with Microsoft security technologies such as Intune, Purview, Defender, Sentinel or Entra ID
  • Experience with SIEM platforms, incident response and security operations
  • Experience with security frameworks including Cyber Essentials, NIST, CIS Controls and ISO 27001
Responsibilities:
  • Assess technical and security requirements across infrastructure, cloud platforms and business systems
  • Design and recommend security solutions that balance business needs with effective risk management
  • Produce technical proposals, solution documentation and implementation plans
  • Lead projects through planning, deployment, testing, go-live and ongoing operational support
  • Work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver secure and practical outcomes
  • Support security monitoring, incident response and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to security architecture reviews and technology roadmap discussions
  • Ensure security controls remain effective across both cloud and on-premise environments

Exalto Consulting is partnering with a well-established international organisation seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to join our growing technology team. This is a hands-on role for a security professional who enjoys solving problems, designing practical solutions, and taking ownership of projects from initial requirements through to implementation and ongoing support. We are investing heavily in our security capabilities and Microsoft technology estate, with key initiatives across Azure and Microsoft 365. The role is based in Surbiton, Surrey with 2-3 days hybrid working, and the successful candidate will help shape and deliver strategic programmes while supporting the wider security function. Planned work includes Microsoft Intune deployment and optimisation, Microsoft Purview and Data Loss Prevention implementation and enhancement, ongoing development of Microsoft 365 and Azure security controls, and improvements to monitoring, detection and response capabilities across our security estate.
