C++ Software Engineer - Front Office Trading
Job Description
Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year
Requirements:- Strong C++ backend development experience
- Experience working with traders in Front Office trading environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals such as OOP, Design Patterns, and Data Structures
- Degree educated in Computer Science or a similar STEM discipline
- Focus on the redevelopment and customisation of a core equity trading system for the EMEA market
- Work primarily on the backend using C++17 / C++20 on Linux
- Build and enhance large, complex, data-intensive systems
- Solve challenging problems around high-volume data and performance at scale
- Work on low-latency development as part of the role
- Engage directly with traders and take ownership of projects from initial design through to delivery
- Understand trading requirements, make technical decisions, and build robust solutions that have a direct impact on the desk
