Business Analyst - Finance Operating Model

Requirements:

• Strong business analysis experience within operating model design, organisational change, finance transformation, or business change
• Expertise in current-state assessments, process mapping, and ownership/RACI modelling
• Experience supporting target operating model and future-state design initiatives
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to bring structure and clarity to complex environments
• Good understanding of finance processes, controls, ownership models, and cross-functional dependencies

Responsibilities:

• Lead discovery workshops, stakeholder interviews, and process reviews
• Map current ways of working across people, processes, governance, controls, systems, data, and reporting
• Work closely with senior stakeholders to identify pain points and clarify ownership and accountabilities
• Support target operating model design
• Help drive the transition to improved ways of working
• Ask the right questions and challenge constructively to identify unclear accountabilities or processes

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst for a major Finance Operating Model programme. This is a highly visible 6-month contract with a chance of extension, offered on a hybrid basis in Liverpool circa 3 days per week, at £400 per day outside IR35. We are focused on understanding how our finance function operates today and shaping a more effective future-state operating model.
