Business Analyst

Salary: £42,000 - 48,500 per year

Requirements:

• Solid experience as a Business Analyst working across technology, digital transformation or business change
• Experience with Microsoft Copilot or Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Power Apps or Power Platform, AI or Generative AI projects, process automation, business process improvement, digital transformation, or benefits realisation is desirable
• Experience in local government, the public sector or another regulated environment is useful but not essential

• Run discovery sessions and stakeholder workshops
• Map current and future processes
• Identify opportunities for AI and automation
• Gather and document business requirements
• Develop use cases for Microsoft Copilot and automation
• Translate business problems into clear requirements for technical teams
• Support business cases and benefits analysis
• Work across technology, operations, information governance and security
• Support testing, user acceptance testing and implementation
• Help teams adopt new tools and ways of working
• Measure whether solutions deliver the expected benefits

We are recruiting a Business Analyst to join a public sector organisation in Gloucester, working on a programme focused on Microsoft Copilot, AI and automation. This is an 18-month fixed-term contract with hybrid working and a salary of up to £48,500 plus an enhanced pension. You will work across a large organisation to identify practical opportunities to improve processes, save time and support better service delivery, taking solutions from discovery through to implementation. You do not need to be an AI developer; the role focuses on understanding business needs, processes, people and technology.
