Requirements:

• We require SC security clearance for this role.
• We are looking for 3-5+ years of hands-on experience managing and scaling enterprise Azure environments.
• We need deep understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and conditional access policies.
• We need proficiency in PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python for automation tasks.
• We need solid knowledge of Azure compute, networking, storage, and monitoring solutions such as DataDog.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert are highly desired.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee Microsoft Entra ID, managing users, groups, application registrations, and licensing.
• Design and support the transition of on-premises infrastructure to the cloud, including end-to-end tenant-to-tenant migrations.
• Enforce Azure policies, role-based access control (RBAC), management group structures, and tagging standards to prevent resource sprawl.
• Build reusable deployment modules and CI/CD pipelines using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or ARM templates.
• Monitor threat landscapes via Microsoft Defender, implement least-privilege models, and remediate vulnerabilities to maintain compliance.
• Utilize Azure Advisor and cost-management tools to right-size virtual machines and optimize cloud spend.

We are looking for an experienced Azure Engineer to support the management, transformation and optimisation of a complex enterprise Azure environment. This is a hands-on remote role on a 3 months rolling contract at a rate of £620 per day inside IR35. The position focuses on Azure infrastructure, Entra ID, cloud migration, governance, security and Infrastructure as Code, with a strong emphasis on automation and operational excellence.
