AI Security Researcher

Salary: £85,000 - 85,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require candidates to hold an active SC clearance.
• Existing DV clearance is strongly advantageous.
• We would like experience in one or more of the following: exploit development, malware analysis, secure software development, vulnerability research, ML model development, vulnerability research tools and frameworks, OS/networks/system architecture, or reverse engineering.
• Nice to have: experience researching AI, ML, or LLM security risks.
• Nice to have: a track record of turning research into working prototypes or customer-facing demos.
• Nice to have: the ability to communicate complex findings clearly to both specialist and non-specialist audiences.

Responsibilities:

• We conduct in-depth research into emerging AI security threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques.
• We design and develop novel tools and prototypes that protect systems and inform customer decisions.
• We perform vulnerability analysis, reverse engineering, and security assessments across a range of platforms.
• We collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to transition research into real-world capabilities.
• We contribute to technical reports, white papers, and customer deliverables.
• We present complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• We stay ahead of the latest AI security developments and share insights with the wider team.

We are looking for an AI Security Researcher to join our well-established team supporting Defence and National Security clients. This is a cutting-edge role at the intersection of AI and cyber security, focused on researching and prototyping innovative solutions that protect critical national systems against sophisticated threats. It is a hybrid role based in Hampshire or Surrey, with a salary of £65,000-£85,000 plus bonus and excellent benefits.
