Salary: £35,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Were looking for proven experience in desktop support, infrastructure support, or a similar technical environment, including providing support across desktop and infrastructure technologies.
  • Were looking for experience supporting laptops, desktops, VDI, and/or servers.
  • We require good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including the ability to work logically, take ownership of issues, and manage competing priorities in a busy support environment.
  • Were looking for experience with Microsoft SCCM and operating system or application deployment.
  • Were looking for knowledge or experience with Microsoft Entra, Azure, and Intune; experience with Trellix ePO and client-side agents would be beneficial.
  • Were looking for a good understanding of IT hardware, software, networking, and infrastructure concepts.
  • We value experience supporting users and collaborating with technical teams, along with good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • Were looking for someone who can work independently and collaboratively, pays close attention to detail, and is willing to learn new technologies and broaden their infrastructure knowledge.
  • We require an understanding of security and the importance of following established procedures in a secure environment.
  • A relevant degree or equivalent experience would be beneficial. Relevant IT qualifications or certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft 365, or AWS Cloud Practitioner, are welcome but not essential.
  • Due to the nature of the client environment, we require eligibility for security clearance. Candidates must be sole UK nationals and must have lived and worked continuously in the UK for the past five years. Were unable to consider dual nationals for this position.
Responsibilities:
  • We provide technical support across desktop and infrastructure services, responding to issues and helping users resolve technical problems.
  • We work as part of a support team handling calls and incidents across laptops, desktops, VDI, and server environments.
  • We diagnose and troubleshoot desktop and infrastructure issues, taking ownership where possible and escalating issues when required.
  • We support the installation, configuration, maintenance, and deployment of desktop and infrastructure technologies, including Microsoft SCCM and operating system and application deployments.
  • We support Microsoft Entra, Azure, Intune, Trellix ePO, and client-side agents.
  • We monitor desktop and infrastructure systems, identify issues, and help maintain performance and availability.
  • We contribute to infrastructure projects, deployments, upgrades, and other technical activities, working with infrastructure and technical teams to improve efficiency and resolve complex challenges.
  • We support the development and maintenance of technical documentation, including incident reports, configuration details, and support information.
  • We keep accurate records of incidents, equipment, changes, and technical activities, and follow established processes, security requirements, and best practices.
  • We identify recurring issues and opportunities to improve our service and user experience, while continuing to develop our technical knowledge and stay current with relevant technologies and industry practices.
