Senior PLM Analyst

Salary: £40,000 - 57,000 per year

Requirements:

• 5+ years of specialised experience and a proven track record of project ownership.
• Good fundamental understanding of PLM systems, data management, and automotive or similar industry experience.
• Experience using Teamcenter B.M.I.D.E, advanced workflow design, attribute mapping, and Siemens AWC.
• Experience setting up Dispatcher and resolving workflow issues.
• Good fundamental understanding of CAD systems, preferably NX, system operation, and the engineering design process.
• Experience delivering user support, creating guidance documentation, and providing training.
• Skills in project planning, system testing, and data migration.
• Experience with project management approaches combining agile and waterfall.
• Good communication and stakeholder-management skills, with experience conveying clear messages to audiences at all seniority levels.
• Detailed working knowledge of system workflows and business processes, such as CAD release, BOM structures, and change management.
• Analytical approach, attention to detail, ability to translate user needs into requirements, and ability to prioritise a work backlog.
• Flexible approach to work and willingness to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
• The ability to specify system-related hardware, such as CAD stations and servers, is advantageous.
• Desirable: experience with Siemens Deployment Center, I.T.K, Visual Studio, and Teamcenter 2606 configuration, including visualisation, classification administration, and table configuration.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and deployment of our Siemens NX CAD and PLM systems, while maintaining our legacy systems.
• Manage the Siemens NX CAD and Teamcenter PLM systems day to day, supporting mechanical and controller design teams and functions including manufacturing, quality, metrology, and procurement.
• Act as the subject matter expert, guiding engineers in the use of CAD and PLM tools to support data quality and user proficiency.
• Own the PLM team ticket system and conduct regular reviews.
• Provide user guidance and deliver online and instructor-led training to promote best practices.
• Create procedures and work instructions to support the use of our systems.
• Develop functional and non-functional requirements for new or improved PLM and CAD processes and tools.
• Lead the development, testing, and deployment of new or enhanced tools to meet PLM and CAD requirements.
• Maintain legacy CAD and PDM data in the SolidWorks environment.
• Support IT in defining and testing hardware and software upgrades.
• Work with third-party vendors and partners to resolve issues.
• Conduct code reviews and help raise the technical capability of the team.
• Research and maintain knowledge of current PLM and CAD technologies and tools.
