Junior ICT Consultant

Salary: £26,000 - 26,000 per year

Requirements:

• We would like you to own a car and hold a driving licence, as the role requires travelling between different locations around Oxford and Oxfordshire.
• We would like you to have at least 2 years experience in a previous ICT Technician or 2nd line support role, preferably in the education sector, although this is not essential.
• We would like you to have good knowledge of common user applications and experience using Microsoft Office 365.
• We would like you to have a strong technical background and a passion for IT.
• We would like you to be self-motivated, a team player, and able to work independently.
• We would like you to have strong communication and organisation skills, with a courteous manner and the ability to explain technical issues in laymans terms.
• We would like you to have an aptitude for problem solving and a proactive approach to improving services.

Responsibilities:

• We will ask you to maintain IT hardware and services across the school sites.
• We will ask you to help improve the standard of ICT provision and support effective teaching and learning through ICT solutions.
• We will ask you to facilitate communication between the school and our team, keeping them updated on the services we can offer.
• We will ask you to manage customer accounts.
• We will ask you to maintain school computer equipment, install new and existing software across the network, and provide technical support to users.
• We will ask you to resolve identified technical problems.
• We will ask you to resolve and manage technical issues impacting school operations by providing robust technical solutions.
• We will ask you to install or repair computers with standardised applications and networking software, diagnose problems, and solve operational issues.
• We will ask you to respond to a wide range of technical duties associated with computer networks and desktop services, including existing installations and upgrades of desktop computers, iPads, printers, telephones, scanners, projectors, PA equipment, AV lecterns, and hardware.

This is a full-time, full-year role based in Oxford, with travel around Oxford and Oxfordshire.
