Golang Developer - Burgess Hill

Salary: £90,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven hands-on experience developing backend systems using at least one type-safe language, with Golang strongly preferred.
• Professional background in software development with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Solid familiarity with backend microservices architectures, RESTful communication, and asynchronous messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience operating within Scrum frameworks to deliver business capabilities and end-to-end customer journeys.
• Strong foundation in Test-Driven Development (TDD) across unit, component, functional, integration, and regression testing tiers.
• Practical experience with CI/CD/CT pipelines, automated testing, version control (Git, SVN), and project tracking tools such as Jenkins, JIRA, and Rally.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and practices including Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, TDD, BDD, and Waterfall.
• Desirable technical exposure to Golang, Postgres, Kafka, gRPC, Docker, GraphQL, and Git.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement features within the Account domain.
• Collaborate with engineering teams across the organization to exchange best practices and platform knowledge.
• Contribute to the global Loyalty and Benefits platform as a Golang Software Engineer.
